I just joined the American Homebrewing Association

AmericanHomebrewersAssociationA big part of my Year of Beer is going to be home brewing.  In fact, the main focus is going to be on homebrew, the rest is just to help me learn how to taste the differences, identify flavors and incorporate those aspects into my own beer.

The American Homebrewers Association boasts a membership of over 18,000 homebrewers.  That’s a pretty impressive number.  Most of the benefits seems to come from the Zymurgy magazine that that they produce 6 times a year.  I have never read the magazine but look forward to getting my first issue. In addition to the magazine you also get access to the forum, forum archives, a Pub discount program, discounts on books and related products and special event discounts.  It cost me $38.00 for the year.  Not a bad value if the magazine is good.

You can find out more about this association by going to American Homebrew Association.
